Hi everyone!! I'm now so happy with the way i progress with diving.. But still, i want to learn how to do the duckdive!
I own a 6.9ft : 20inch wide: 2.5inch thick surfing board.. After trying for too many times, i now wonder if my board is too hard to use for duck diving?? What do u all think? Can i do the duck diving with it?
And a follow up question too..
Where do you think should i practice? I usually go for big wave surfing, like 2-6ft :) I love it even though i get destroyed most of the time.. But it's worth it every time! Or do you think it's possible to make progress on smaller waves?

First, congratulations for the progress you've made in duck diving! :)
So anyway, doing a duck diving with that board is indeed possible. In fact, it should be easy, all it takes: technique & practice!
i also suggest that u surf & practice on dozens of smaller waves in a day. you'll eventually progress that way, rather than going for a big monstrous one right away.
and if you're on a shortboard, it's useless to surf on a whitewater.

Yes, it's fine to duckdive with that. It is but normal to have troubles with it at first, but you'll evnetually get it. You can also practice while sitting in the line up. Be sure you have your whole board sunk before duck diving.
