this happens usually.. when u paddle backwards and someone on the wave is coming towards u. how do you deal with that? what do you do to avoid the other surfer and not ruin ur rides?

if you happen to paddle across someone else's ride, then you're probably paddling in the wrong direction. so what u can do is to simply position yourself properly and you'd do fine.

that will depend on where u are & how fast you paddle. look out into the ocean before starting to paddle out. if you just took the wave in, you will not end up getting in anyone's way. but then if u still do, read where they are heading and go through the opposite direction. be confident. in surfing, i believe u should be able to read most of the situations before they get too close.

Proper surfing etiquette would require the surfer paddling out to eat the mush. Don't interfere with the riding surfer.

A bad day surfing is better than a good day working

yeah, simply observe proper surfing etiquettes.. and maybe it's only a matter of finding you own surfing waves.. if you do so, you won't get in the way of other surfers and vice versa..
