I ride a Steve Boysen - super light and loose board. He made it thick for me cause Im 210 - but he pinched the rails so it doesnt look or feel thick.
He has a really cool website with alot of feedback for figuring out the best board, check it out.
Even if you dont get a Boysen - its still helps to look at his info

I ride a 7'9" jimmy lewis secret weapon I picked up a breezysports.com only place I found it for under msrp...great success
I also ride a clark foam fishtail
A dewey weber longboard, and a Jimmy Lewis stand up paddle board
would def recomend SUP to anyone looking to mix it up a little
