U wouldnt have problems with hiring board there in Bali. It's always more expensive in Kuta, but u can rent board at Uluwatu. There are also many places where u can stay, so no worries! It just depends on where u want 2 base urself. Negotiate well and check the rooms first before making any commitment. they have the friendliest community. u wouldn't regret ur vacation,,!

like what jadedson said, there are loads of cheap places where u can stay, like in bingin, balangan, or dreamlands. if you're not into solid surfing yet, try going to areas where the waves are more gentle like in medewi, canggu, or balian. they really are friendly & trustworthy, everyone der!

Have a great time!

If you're into the beach, they say the best bet is in the Kuta Seminyak stretch. Although i once heard that the waves there can pack a really good punch! haha

i seriously think bali is an awesome place to surf! u only have to make sure u fix your accomodations beforehand. Enjoy! and respect the locals!
