Do you know if there would be any good beaches there and surfing camp too? i heard of the island mindoro, i'm interested to go there. would you know if there are any surfing waves there? but i don't prefer surfing large waves, medium one would do. Thank you..

hello surfingsin! yes, there are waves in almost every surf spot in the philippines that are ideal for beginners.. although there are no waves in Mindoro because it is protected by the other islands.. most likely the waves will not break there.. try going to zambales, la union, samar, or baler..

You can check some good surfing camp and beach breaks in Davao. I can say they dont have the most consistent and perfect surfing waves in the philippines but they have the friendliest ones. the swells are ideal for beginners too!

Surfing in the Philippines is speedily picking up. La union, siargao , zambales are the ones i've been to. I come to Manila once a year. i like the people over there.Reggae is also big out there so its alwys nice to jam with the locals after a long day of surfing. Clinics and camps are held over there. On my last trip, my australian co-worker sonny took me to a place called bataan. According to Sonny, no attention was given to bataan waves because they werent always present. Recently, these jet black sand beaches are starting to get attention because of superb rookie waves that are now always there.
