Tropical Storm Hits Cuba, Bahamas and Florida

WEDNESDAY, 31 OCTOBER 2007

A tropical storm named Noel will be hitting some areas of Cuba, Bahamas and Florida.

With a maximum sustained wind of nearly 50 mph, Noel is hitting provinces of Cuba, including Camaguey, Las Tunas, Guantanamo, and Holguin. It moves westward to the province of Ciego de Avila. The central and southeastern Bahamas, particularly Turks and Caicos Islands, are also affected by the tropical storm.

On Wednesday, Noel is expected to blow tropical storm winds in some areas of southern and southeastern Florida passing through northwestern Bahamas in the course of its 13mph movement to the northwest. In addition, it will pass very closely to Bermuda on Friday.
